The Applegate-Fairbairn knife was created based on the famous Fairbairn-Sykes dagger, which proved itself exceptionally well during World War II. The weapon used by British airborne forces was refined according to feedback from combat veterans. The development was carried out by designer William Fairbairn and Colonel Rex Applegate. The resulting model impressed all enthusiasts of tactical knives, even though its price places it in the premium segment, and it remains popular to this day. In our knife store, you can buy Applegate-Fairbairn daggers in several versions that differ in price and design. The Desert version was created in memory of Operation Desert Storm. The handle is finished in a sand color, while the guard and screws feature a black protective coating. The double-edged blade is made of 440C steel and hardened to 58 on the Rockwell scale. A small curved guard protects the hand from slipping onto the blade and also serves as a thumb rest.
