Hunting footwear

In the hierarchy of hunting gear, footwear occupies a dominant position. If a weapon failure means a lost trophy, footwear failure sore feet, wetness, hypothermia or ankle injury means the complete end of the hunt and a direct health threat. Experienced hunters know: legs are the only transport that will deliver you to the wildest places. Therefore, professional hunting footwear is not wardrobe but an engineered product protecting foot biomechanics from loads and environment.

The Arm Elit online store offers footwear for all scenarios from standing in icy water to long mountain transitions. We offer hunting footwear from brands that are global benchmarks.

Dichotomy of choice: rubber boots or high tech boots?

Globally all hunting footwear is divided into two classes, each ideal in its own environment but useless in the other. Understanding this is the first step.

Class 1: Sealed protection and traditions (Le Chameau, Aigle)

For waterfowl hunting and wetlands rubber boots lead. Forget cheap PVC. Our catalog includes French elite Le Chameau and Aigle.

This footwear is absolutely waterproof. Key difference is natural rubber. It is elastic, crack resistant and durable.

Le Chameau is the Rolls Royce of rubber boots. Handmade. Leather liners for summer, neoprene 3-5 mm for winter. Aigle offers shock absorbing soles reducing fatigue.

Class 2: Support and membrane tech (Crispi, Smith & Wesson)

For walking hunts rubber boots are unsuitable. Trekking or tactical boots are required.

Crispi leads the segment with A.B.S.S. support, Gore Tex membrane and Vibram soles.

Smith & Wesson makes lightweight tactical models with aggressive tread.

Selection criteria

Season: insulation or drainage.

Terrain: stiff soles for mountains, high shafts for wetlands.
