Despite the wide assortment in our knife store, there are several models that were designed based on real combat experience. These knives are truly unique, and their price fully reflects this. One such model is the Applegate-Fairbairn Combat II, developed by Colonel Rex Applegate in collaboration with close-combat instructor William Fairbairn. Its design is based on the Fairbairn-Sykes fighting dagger, the weapon used by British commandos. The knife is manufactured at the Boker factory in the German city of Solingen. The double-edged blade is made from 440C steel and hardened to 58 on the Rockwell scale. The anatomical handle is reinforced with fiberglass and contains internal steel weights that shift the balance toward the center of the handle, making the knife extremely comfortable to handle. The curved guard protects the fingers from slipping onto the blade. In this model, the guard features a golden finish that harmoniously complements the silver-colored blade steel and the black handle. The elegant design is one of the reasons why connoisseurs of quality bladed weapons choose to buy the Applegate-Fairbairn knife.
