The fixed blade Boker Applegate-Fairbairn knife was developed in the mid-1980s by US Army Colonel and renowned designer Rex Applegate in cooperation with inventor William Ewart Fairbairn. It represents a modernized version of the Fairbairn-Sykes fighting dagger, which was used by British commandos and SAS units during World War II. The double-edged blade is made from 440C weapon-grade steel. The anatomical Micarta handle provides a secure grip. The dagger is also equipped with a small guard that prevents the hand from slipping onto the blade. Thanks to special steel weights placed inside the handle, the balance of the knife is shifted toward the grip.
