The Blaser R8 Professional LH bolt-action rifle is a hunting firearm chambered in .300 Win Mag. The rifle is based on the popular R93 platform but has been refined to improve reliability and ergonomics. The Blaser R8 Professional features a straight-pull bolt-action system. While the earlier R93 used a similar mechanism, the R8 Professional has an approximately 40% larger locking surface on the collet bolt head, allowing it to withstand chamber pressures of up to 14,000 bar.
The magazine is integrated with the trigger guard into a single reinforced module, providing increased structural strength. The trigger pull weight is set at 650 grams. This rifled hunting rifle is equipped with a free-floating 58 cm barrel, which is hand-fitted to ensure perfect alignment with the chamber. The barrel is machined with mounting interfaces for the patented Blaser Saddle Mount optics system.
Left-handed shooters often face difficulties finding a hunting rifle that offers optimal ergonomics, which is why the specialized Blaser R8 Professional LH (left-hand) version is worth considering. As with the right-handed model, the stock is made from high-strength technopolymer and features textured grip inserts at key contact points for improved handling.
