“The first model Tula trap shotgun”, also known as the TOZ TS-1, was produced in limited numbers during the post war years from 1948 to 1950 and was intended for trench trap shooting and sporting hunting. The model is a classic side by side double barrel shotgun with an external hammer system, offering comfortable handling and reliable operation. The triple locking system works in combination with a Purdey style double underlug and a Greener cross bolt engaging the extension of the barrel breech. The hammers are cocked automatically when the shotgun is locked, and an automatic sliding safety is also provided.
The 720 mm barrels are manufactured from structural carbon steel grade 50A, known for its improved corrosion resistance and a service life of approximately 20,000 shots. The receiver of this antique firearm is decorated with subtle fine hand engraving featuring a floral pattern typical of shotguns from that era. The fore end and stock are traditionally made from walnut wood and finished with a lacquer coating that highlights the natural grain and preserves the collectible value of the shotgun.
