POF-USA has implemented a unique concept by retaining AR-15 Mil-Spec dimensions for the receivers, magazine well, and controls, while successfully accommodating components chambered for the powerful .308 Win cartridge. This makes caliber transitions extremely comfortable for the shooter. The core of the carbine is a reliable short stroke gas piston system with an adjustable gas block offering three modes and five positions, which can be adjusted without tools through a dedicated access window in the handguard. The 40.64 cm or 16 inch barrel with a 1:10 twist is treated using a carbonitriding process to increase service life and corrosion resistance. It is equipped with a 5/8"-24 muzzle thread and an effective three chamber muzzle brake. The Gen 4 lower receiver is made from aircraft grade aluminum and features fully ambidextrous controls including the safety selector, magazine release, and bolt catch, along with an enlarged magazine well and an oversized trigger guard. The carbine is equipped with a Mil-Spec telescopic stock featuring an improved Anti-tilt buffer tube adapter.
