Dewey 3-SQ patches have a uniform cotton weave and come pre-cut to size (3 inches). The patches are suitable for cleaning 12 and 16 gauge shotguns, effectively removing any fouling and gun oil residue used during bore maintenance. For maximum effectiveness, the manufacturer recommends using the patches together with needle style jags at the final stage of gun cleaning, right after the brushes.
