Choosing a knife made in Finland is usually driven not by brand hype or design trends, but by a focus on reliability and functionality. The Finnish ranger knife J-P Peltonen Sissipuukko M95 fully meets these expectations. While Finland is known for producing high-quality knives, the Sissipuukko series was designed by active military personnel for special forces, resulting in a tool that is exceptionally practical and durable.
Like many of Finland’s finest knives, this model is made from carbon chromium-vanadium steel 80CrV2. The blade hardness is about 59 HRC, ensuring excellent edge retention. Thanks to its simple edge geometry, the knife is easy to maintain and sharpen even in field conditions without specialized tools.
The blade features generous dimensions with a length of 150 mm and a thickness of 4.25 mm. It withstands heavy workloads and demanding use. A Teflon coating simplifies maintenance and provides additional corrosion protection.
The handle is made of thermoplastic elastomer that retains flexibility in cold temperatures and provides a secure grip in all conditions. The knife comes with a brown leather sheath that attaches easily to a belt, while a roller retention system keeps the knife secure and prevents accidental loss.
