Knives bearing the signature of Sergio Consoli on the blade belong to the premium segment of the global knifemaking scene. The Italian craftsman discovered his true calling later in life. For many years, Sergio Consoli worked in the design of various mechanical systems, which gave him a deep professional understanding of material processing methods and assembly technologies. At the age of 40, Sergio began studying the art of knifemaking. As the master himself admits, he started making knives because he simply could not stop himself from doing so.

Every stage of steel processing and knife assembly had to be learned through hands-on practice. The process of creating custom folding knives fascinated Consoli so deeply that he chose not to share this craft with colleagues from the Knifemakers Guild or with factories producing hardware components. Everything, from the pocket clip to the final blade finish, is the result of Sergio’s own meticulous work. Every single part of the knife is created and fitted by the knifemaker himself.

Sergio Consoli states that he uses ordinary machines that can be found in the workshop of almost any metalworker. His undeniable talent quickly earned recognition among fellow craftsmen. Sergio created his first knife in 2003, and by 2005 he had already received several knifemaking awards. He was first honored with the “Best Exhibition Table” award at the Italian knife show Lame Sotto I Portici in Romano di Lombardia. Later that same year, his custom folder received the title of “Best Folding Knife” at the exhibition in Novegro. In addition, Sergio Consoli’s work took second place in the category “Best Fixed Hunting Blade” at a competition organized by Lame D’Autore magazine.
