The mount is designed for installing a red dot sight on a riflescope with a 34 mm tube diameter. This setup is useful when using high-magnification optics and there is a need to switch quickly to a close-range target.
A compact red dot sight mounted above the main optic allows faster work at short distances without changing the scope magnification. Unlike variable-magnification optics, this configuration does not require the shooter to use the support hand for adjustment, as switching to the red dot only requires a slight change in head position.
The mount is made from aircraft-grade aluminum and attaches to the riflescope with four screws. The 35 mm rail length allows the use of most compact open and enclosed red dot sights. You can buy a Picatinny rail mount for a riflescope at the Arm Elite online store.
