The compact Picatinny rail is designed for mounting on a riflescope with a 30 mm tube diameter. Using a small red dot sight mounted above the main optic significantly increases the versatility of the firearm in different shooting situations.
This setup is useful when the shooter needs to switch quickly from a distant target to a close one, for example from around 300 m to a target within 30 m. With variable-magnification optics, changing magnification usually takes extra movement, while an additional compact red dot sight allows faster work at close range.
The mount is made from aircraft-grade aluminum and attaches to the riflescope with four screws. The 35 mm rail length allows the use of most compact open and enclosed red dot sights. You can buy a compact Picatinny rail for mounting on a scope at the Arm Elite online store.
