The SKS carbine has earned a strong reputation among shooters of many generations, offering a high level of durability and accuracy while using the common and powerful 7.62x39 cartridge. Since the carbine does not have factory mounts for modern sighting devices, many shooters look for an opportunity to buy a gas tube with a Picatinny rail.
Tapco developed its own solution specifically for this purpose. Made from firearm-grade steel, the SKS SKS6632 gas tube allows red dot sights and optical scopes to be mounted in one of the most convenient positions on the carbine.
Unlike receiver-mounted rails, the gas tube is not prone to play and gives the shooter confidence that the firearm will retain its zero.
