- (Quick Disconnect) system from Magpul and other manufacturers. The base is installed under the buffer tube castle nut of AR-15 carbines and significantly improves the speed and convenience of handling the firearm.
It is made from titanium and 7075-T6 aluminum alloy with Mil-Spec Type III hard anodizing, providing high resistance to physical stress and demanding use.
To use a sling with a QD swivel, simply insert it into the locking ring until it clicks into place. To remove the sling, press the special button on its mount. The ease of use and high reliability of the Quick Disconnect system have led more military personnel and civilian shooters to choose a QD sling swivel instead of standard sling mounting systems.
