Dewey ABS-1 tube

The guide is an aluminum tube of a specific diameter with two sealing rings and a movable locking body with a screw handle. The cleaning guide prevents damage to the chamber during intensive cleaning, reduces the likelihood of the cleaning rod bending inside the bore, and allows cleaning solvent to be poured in through a special port on the body of the tube. The guide usually requires a rod longer than 90 cm. The cleaning guide is fixed directly in the receiver in place of the bolt, with the outer sliding body secured by a screw handle, similar to a closed bolt. The main sizes of Dewey cleaning guides: ABS-1 fits .22 caliber (5.6mm), ABS-2 fits .24 caliber (7mm), ABS-3 fits .30 caliber (7.62-8mm), ABS-4 fits .338-.358 calibers.
