Rockstead RYO-H-ZDP Knife

Japanese Rockstead knives are the result of combining modern technology with centuries-old traditions. The main stages of production are carried out using CNC machines, while the blade polishing process is performed by hand, allowing Rockstead to achieve an exceptionally high level of finish quality.

The special grind geometry of the blade is inspired by the traditional Japanese sword. Mirror polishing and unique steel make Rockstead products stand out even among some of the most beautiful and highest-quality handmade knives.

The blade outline of the Rockstead RYO-H-ZDP refers to the image of the Higonokami, a traditional Japanese knife. The blade has a convex Honzukuri shape, which makes the knife easy to use and provides excellent cutting performance.

One of the distinctive features of this model is its movable clip system, known as the hidden clip system. The Rockstead RYO-H-ZDP combines practicality, reliability and long service life, making it a highly capable tool for precise and comfortable work.

The blade of the Rockstead RYO-H-ZDP is made from ZDP-189 powder steel, known for its ability to take an exceptionally sharp edge. The blade has a double-sided edge and a polished surface. Despite its remarkable sharpness, the blade is not intended for chopping, as the steel may be damaged under improper impact loads.

The handle is made of titanium and has a comfortable shape for a secure grip. A lanyard hole is also provided. The knife sits comfortably in the hand, while its weight is clearly felt during use.

The tool is equipped with a hidden clip, and the blade is securely locked in the handle. Rockstead also includes additional accessories: the set comes with a clip that allows the knife to be carried on a belt. Like some other Rockstead knives, this model traditionally comes in a gift wooden box. The name RYO means “good” in Japanese.
