If you are looking to buy a hunting folding knife with an attractive design, we recommend paying attention to the Higo-X-IW – a novelty from April 2024 by the Japanese company Rockstead®. The key feature that distinguishes this knife from its counterparts is its impressive sharpness and hardness, reaching 65–67 HRC on the Rockwell scale. The Higo X series belongs to the classic line and features a design based on the use of premium materials. The 89 mm blade is crafted from Japanese high-carbon ZDP-189 steel with a high chromium content (19%). For user convenience, the blade is equipped with an ambidextrous thumb stud, allowing it to be opened with one hand. The handle scales are made from ironwood – a noble, dense, and oily wood species that has been an integral part of exclusive knife designs worldwide for centuries. The ergonomic shape and compact dimensions (handle length 105 mm) make the Higo-X-IW stand out among heavier and bulkier alternatives. For convenient everyday carry, the manufacturer includes a premium leather belt sheath and a special pouch decorated with the image of a crane – one of the national birds of the Land of the Rising Sun.
