Firearms and ammunition of the .375 caliber are a highly specialized solution designed to achieve maximum accuracy when shooting at long and extreme-long distances ranging from 2000 to 3800 meters. After the official certification of DTM .375 rifle ammunition in 2017, they quickly secured their place among snipers of various military units and long-range shooting record holders. In 2023, Jacqueline Bryan set a new record for the longest confirmed shot, hitting a target at 3865 meters. One of the reasons behind the popularity of .375 caliber ammunition from Desert Tech® is the wide selection of bullets with a high ballistic coefficient (BC), which remain stable in the transonic zone. The cartridge presented here is an intermediate variant with a bullet weight of 352 grains (22.8 grams) and a muzzle energy of 10052 J. The open-tip bullet with a boat-tail (OTM-BT) design provides aerodynamic stability thanks to the streamlined tail shape, which reduces air resistance. The muzzle velocity is 3080 fps, equivalent to 938.8 meters per second. Considering all characteristics, DTM .375 Chey Tac ammunition offers an optimal balance between bullet speed and flat trajectory for long-range shooting.
