Carbine Heckler&Koch MR223 A3 RAL8000 cal.223

The Heckler & Koch MR223A3 was developed by German engineers with the aim of creating an intermediate solution between full-size assault rifles and PDW-class weapons (Personal Defense Weapon) and was first introduced in 2004. Created as an almost exact copy of the HK416, the MR223A3 allows the owner to acquire a premium-level sporting rifle. Thanks to the use of an 11-inch barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO, the carbine enables effective aimed fire at distances of up to 500–600 meters. At the same time, it retains compact dimensions (830 mm) and a weight of 3.5 kg.

Despite the fact that the presented rifle is a civilian version of the HK416, it, like military weapons, is equipped with a trigger mechanism featuring a direct gas operating system, which had previously been used by the German manufacturer only on “combat” versions. Other advantages of the MR223A3 system include reduced carbon and dirt buildup in the receiver, ensuring increased reliability even under conditions of intensive and prolonged firing.

For mounting various accessories, the rifle is equipped with a proprietary Slim Line handguard featuring the HKey interface, as well as a long Picatinny rail on the top of the receiver for installing red dot sights and magnifiers. Thanks to ambidextrous controls, the HK MR223 has proven itself in demanding operating conditions. Many will also appreciate the attractive appearance, as the classic black finish has been replaced by a Coyote sand color, which is best suited to pixelated camouflage.

The high tactical and technical characteristics and adaptability to extreme conditions have resulted in the price of the HK MR223A3 rifle being somewhat higher than that of comparable models; however, this is fully justified by confidence in the weapon’s reliability and its high manufacturing quality.
