The German Blaser BB97 rifle is a double barrel hunting firearm chambered in 9.3x74R with vertically arranged barrels. The first shot is released with a trigger pull of 1550 grams, while firing the second barrel requires a pull of 1630 grams. This solution improves accuracy and firing speed, as there is no need to move the finger from one trigger to another, which is typical for hunting rifles with a more traditional trigger system. The 9.3x74R caliber of this double barrel carbine offers relatively mild recoil, and the cartridge shape allows for quick and convenient extraction from the chamber. The bullet’s power is sufficient to deliver a lethal hit on any large game found in Europe, and historically this caliber was also frequently used for hunting thick skinned African animals. The exclusive Blaser BB97 carbine is practical both for driven hunts and for hunting from a stand.
